Kithe Literary Journal

Making Stories Come Alive Through Thoughtful Branding

Kithe Journal brings art and literature together, amplifying the voices of independent and emerging authors. Inspired by the Scottish meaning of “Kithe”—to be seen and known—the brand reflects the journal’s mission to stand out boldly. I was tasked with both the branding and the initial look and feel of the magazine itself. The logo, featuring the crested tit, a bird native to Scotland, embodies uniqueness and visibility with its iconic silhouette. A natural color palette, inspired by the Scottish countryside, creates an organic, authentic feel, while the editorial layout merges contemporary style with clean, modern design. Together, these elements create a visual identity that celebrates creativity, self-expression, and a sense of belonging in the literary world.
